Eldon Bryce

Eldon began his journey of dance at the age of twelve learning the latest dance craze- breakdancing.  He then spent most of his time at teen dance clubs, while performing and acting in various community shows and musicals.  Later, he discovered ballroom dancing at a Fred Astaire dance studio in Charlotte, NC, and he was hooked.  He had found his reason for being.  He studied and trained full-time and became a certified dance teacher and on March 3, 1997, he excitedly taught his first dance lesson.  After three years with FADS, Eldon received their highest award given to dance teachers.

He soon discovered he had a special love for the Argentine Tango, so in May of 2000 he moved to San Francisco to further his training.  He also studied many of the different dances including the Salsa, Swing, and Ballet.  He has studied twice in Buenos Aires with numerous Tango masters as well as years of coaching from top ballroom champions. He received his dance certifications from both the USISTD and DVIDA dance organizations in the Smooth, Rhythm, and Argentine Tango dances.  He became an independent dance contractor in 2005.

Eldon performs with many different dance professionals, as well as with his students, and has competed professionally in the Smooth and Rhythm dances.  He was a featured dancer in the movie "Swing".  He has been featured in eight instructional dance dvd's, including the first ever "How to Become a Nationally Certified Dance Teacher" with national judicator Diane Jarmalow.  He has choreographed and performed on MTV, and has been a featured actor/dancer/choreographer for several music videos.

David Bishop

I was born and raised in Texas and most of my education took place in New York City. I moved to San Francisco in 1974. As a commercial photographer in San Francisco, I've been free-lance my entire career, which began in 1979. My wife and I live north of the Golden Gate bridge, in Marin county, with our two daughters and a huge tabby cat, Milo.

I made the transition to digital photography in steps, first learning Photoshop (v1.07) in 1991 and editing scanned 4x5 transparencies. For those interested in geeky facts: My first editing computer was an Apple LC which had a 16mHz processor and 4MB of RAM running OS 7, a very slow machine by today's standards! I purchased my first digital back in 1999, and have been shooting digitally ever since, using a Phase One P25 digital back on both Sinar 4x5P and Hasselblad 500EL bodies.

My work at present is mostly involved with shooting wine and food and creating technical product illustrations.

Nick Lau

Nick has always had a love for movement. Starting with Kung-Fu in middle school, his growing desire for a better balance between being grounded and flipping acrobatics lead him to find new love in Tai Chi and Capoiera throughout his teenage years. Then in his early twenties he discovered a passion for partner dancing and has been blissfully happy ever since. Starting with Lindy Hop, he quickly branched out into the many sub categories of swing including 1920's Charleston, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Blues, and East Coast Swing. Furthering his love of swing dancing, he soon found himself performing at many different venues including dance showcases, private parties and events, and even Retro Day at the Oakland Colosseum. But his voracious appetite would not be quenched so easily, and so he began to study and compete in International Standard style Ballroom. After feeling the addictive rush of competition and performance, he soon joined Rica Salsa. Rica Salsa is a salsa team known for integrating modern dance movement to create their very innovative and uniquely beautiful routines. Currently, he can be found honing his skills and dancing the nights away at a number of San Francisco's many great social dance venues. Nick aspires to be able to travel the world, hear any music and dance with anyone off the street whether or not they have ever danced a day before in their life.
